We all look at Change with some fear. Leaving the comfort zone is well said than done .I will be ostracized for sure , If I suggest you to enjoy the unknown ! Lets admit ‘change’ is mostly met with a rigidity , inflexibility and a tough fight to resist it.

WHAT IS A CHANGE?

A change may include a new job,a change in residence , birth of a baby, death of loved one ,marriage upheavals,relocating to another country or children leaving home for good.

The usual response that abound can be any of the following

  • I can’t get another job
  • I am too old to start a career.
  • I can’t start my business at this age.
  • These changes are too many too soon – I can’t cope with them;
  • We have always done it all in this way

A leopard never changes its spot and may move.

WHAT COULD BE A CHANGE MANAGING APPROACH?

And to move a transition from all that is written above to move more positive , Change -embracing approach will spell a better life.It would sound more like the statements spoken as:-

  • I may take time, but finding a better job will happen
  • I want to experience a Passion’s call
  • A change is as good as a holiday;
  • A change is welcome for it helps me grow
  • It might take time but I ‘ll adopt.
  • It may be painful at present but i can see better things coming;
  • A tree does not bow to the direction of wind break down , so it is with an inflexible person;

TEN MOST EFFECTIVE WAYS TO MANAGE THE CHANGE?

Now if you wish to thrive on change to get most out of your caliber, these ten tries to manage change will do a world of good.

1 .Recognize a need to change – You have had enough tolerating unsatisfactory or frustrating situations.You know it only leads to depression and negativity .Make a conscious effort to change things one by one else there will be no way out.

Just suggest yourself :-

‘I just won’t sit and be upset about things,I will change them ‘

OR

‘I will change things that I am not happy about /with.’

2.Manage your fear – Fear is the top most spoil sport when it comes to changing after comfort zone. Suggesting these will boost your morale.

‘I will learn to accept and confront my fears to move ahead.’

‘I love change’

OR

‘ I can manage my fear better ‘

After positively setting up yourself , face your fears because only exposure will consistently let the desired results set in.

3.Set positive expectations –Once we have recognise our need to  change and have set ourselves up to enjoy the unknown , its time to check out any doubts around your changed situations.

Say to yourself and Believe :-

“With these new learning, my life would change for good.”

4. Accept what life has served you and adapt – Take yourself in to an acceptance mode by telling any of the given auto suggestions :-

‘I have to go on a step learning curve.’

‘ Every move has a ‘Hello’ and a ‘Good bye’.

5. Talk to positive people- These People embrace change, pre suppose good/ better out comes, learn from change, and use it constructively .

Reassessing the situation in a balanced and widening the horizons can happen when you tell yourself:-

‘Its Okay to seek help’

‘Talking to right people will help me more than wallowing in unfairness of life per se.

6.See changes as an opportunity to learn , lead and grow- As a parent if you adapt to this one your kid will bless you as role models of it.

It enriches you and your kid big time

7.Keep your change goals realistic – I believe

‘Change is good ‘ ,’ Change is Fast ‘, and ‘Change is easy’ and despite it all change need time .So whether the change is self initiated or imposed by others , we should know to

8.Initiate change with the positive ,hopeful outlook- If you are dissatisfied around a relation ,a job ; a difficult boss etc, it helps not to start change on a negative note .Its always more energising and motivating to tell yourself

‘Its not going to help me to being Negative’

‘I can leaving on good note’

‘I am exploring a better and growth oriented pact of me.’

9.Acknowledge your feelings-Suppressing your feelings of fear ,anger, hurt, uneasiness, discomfort, or embarassement can lead to depression .

See them in the face , so express your emotions confront them and move on as in :-

‘Everyone is hurt at times ;it does not mean i am weak.’

‘Time will help me heal and achieve’

‘Feeling Angry / Ashamed / Embarrassed is Okay’

10.Be determined to bring your outcome to reality-While a single or couple of thoughts /self suggestions would work in above cases here we would need a big pile of determination and self suggestions :-

They would be

‘I will do this no matter what’

‘This is my new challenge that i really want to master.’

‘I would not settle for anything less than what i have decided.’

‘Its just a matter of time’

‘I want to succeed in this’

To sum it all up change can bring it life enriching results.Its only the initial repiditions that might be blocking your path to a better, positive, flexible being. This write up has sufficient ideas to use consistently and if you exploy even some bit of it, you are forced to experience an awesome and motivated some of self.

With all these inputs in your armour, enjoying the unknown will no longer be unsettling .Get in a buddy to encourage you when your old pattern around change raise their doubtful head or keep writing small but insight post it reminder and you all ready to go !!

    A valuable post. We always say “Change is for good” but are not able to accept it. If anything changes as per my wish like someone’s rude nature or I get a better job, I can easily embrace it. But, what if something changes I don’t want to. That’s the real time when these tips are really motivational and helpful. Thank You!

      Thanks for writing Dr Shivangi.
      I truly believe change comes within and changing others is totally out of our control zone and should not be attempted.
