THREE LIFE POSITIONS TO TAKE TO BE BALANCED IN LIFE.
Balance is the key to everything in life…Even food that helps us survive may be disastrous if consumed out of Balance. Go a little out of balance in your thinking and reap the crop of either less than required or overthinking,Go a little over board with your language and many other details and feel the compulsive need to slow down.
Experience life in a whole..even when a part of you wishes to sit pretty in a comfort zone and refuses to expose. Mingle with the dreamers and the constant Go-Getters but do not forget to meet up with yourself and the burning passion that sits within you.
Allow me to begin from what are the positions you might take as you go with the flow of life.They are:-
YOU Operating from Life Position 1- OTHERS– Here you love to put others and their needs over and above yours.
It is so virtuous to be thinking about others and being compassionate enough to see things from their perception. The feeling of a high when you think of helping others; caring for them and putting their needs over and above your own, but draw the line where it makes you a martyr! Stop before you are taken for granted as being a doormat does not leave you feeling great .This being in others shoe saps your growth, energies and ability to think for yourself.
YOU Operating from Life position 2- SELF –It is pretty indulgent to see your own understanding of things, the people; the situations and the world in general as a complete reality.Being solely about oneself disable us to see the legitimate needs of others. It makes us believe that our personality is the ultimate truth. It has a power to make us selfish and vain.Gain some balance and tilt the bar in being self aware of your needs and of what others are seeking through us. Being all the time in your own shoes does not allow people to feel your warmth and the connect will be affected.
YOU Operating from Life Position 3-OBSERVER- Then there are some who sit on the fence and refuse to participate in the events that unfold. They are mere ‘observers’ who are looking outside the window of the train. While they are able to observe a situation from a distance, they can be away from a drama of feelings. They can analyze the situation well and see how they contributed to what ever happen good or bad.
Being here helps as its a place of analysis and learning. Being here can be insightful as as to how you can change to get new results in your life.
How imbalance affects In each of above life positions
Merely by being aware of where is it that you majorly operate from can help you sort many life scenarios.
- Being in life position 1-WHERE OTHERS ARE IMPORTANT- Being here Excessively can lead to loss of self esteem as you tend to identify more with other people’s need at the expense of your own.
-You stop achieving as you don’t have time or inclination to think what you want.
-You take the emotional burdens of others,and can not shake it off creating mental and emotional fatigue and you are non- assertive majorly.
- Being in life position 2-WHERE ONLY SELF MATTERS- Excessively creates lack of understanding of others.
-You dismiss their feelings and ideas
-You push to get your wishes fulfilled at expense of others
-Although you may achieve but its hollow to keep you happy enough.
- Being excessively in life position 3-WHERE ONLY OBSERVING LIFE GO BY- Can make you unemotional and detached .
– You may be objective and analytical but experiencing emotion is not your game .
By Now you would have understood that these life positions are important But more important is the balancing act of these three life positions. It is that balance that will give you the life of:-
c. Increased choice; and
I am yet to meet someone who is not wanting a life with the above foursome.
When to go to which life position ?
As a parting shot, let me quickly sum up as to when to use which of these life positions and make a life little more balanced for you.
Life Position 1-For Others- This helps you to understand another person behavior, So to get under the skin of how someone experienced /felt in a particular scenario; this is the place to go.
Life Position 2- For Self- This helps you to stand up for yourself, see things from your perspective; get in touch with your feelings or wants or while simply setting some goals for yourself.
Life Position 3-For Observing- Be here to think objectively;take stock of the situation; without the added of the baggage of emotions.
Hope all this will create new solutions to your old bottle necks. Be aware as life is merely a game and you need insights to play it well .
